When should you replace your double glazing?

If your windows went in 15–20+ years ago, they are probably underperforming. Signs it is worth replacing rather than repairing:

Several sealed units have misted or blown.
The frames are yellowed, warped, cracked or damaged.
The windows are noticeably draughty even with new seals.
Your heating bills are higher than they should be.
The locks and hardware keep failing across the house.

If only one or two windows have a problem, a repair is usually the better call — and because we are a repair-first business, we will tell you honestly which way to go.

Process

The installation process

Survey: we measure every opening, discuss styles, colours and glass, and give a written quote. No deposit.

Manufacture: your made-to-measure windows are built — typically 2–4 weeks.

Installation: old frames out, new windows in, sealed inside and out, trims fitted, all waste removed. A whole home usually takes a day and a half.

Sign-off: you inspect and confirm you are happy. FENSA certificate issued, 10-year guarantee.
